description

After the death of her mother, Ernestine is forced to confront the unresolved trauma that has haunted her for years. The confrontation leads to questioning the very  fabric of reality and existence. Ernestine and her best girlfriend, Homegirl, embark on a journey of discovery, pain, love, and joy, in hopes to grab on to something tangible. With this piece, I wanted to honor parts of my mother‘s story,  my homegirl’s story,  my auntie’s story and my own story. This workshop is a skeletal framework for something larger something that will be in continuation for years to come.
